  • The company has received this award for the fifth year in a row, and has also been recognised with the special Intrapreneurship Award

Enagás took part in a new edition of the Corporate Startup Stars Awards, held in Paris on 7 December. The company has been recognised as one of the top 100 companies in 29 countries in open innovation practices and development or collaboration with startups worldwide in the most prestigious ranking in this field.

Thanks to Enagás’ work in favour of intrapreneurship and corporate entrepreneurship, it has also been awarded the special prize for best practice “Intrapreneurship Award (A Suite Approach to Open Innovation)”, a recognition that acknowledges the ability to promote innovation from within the organisation. These special awards have been collected and presented in the report “Welcome to the Age of Hybridization and Results. Evolve or Be Extinct Season 2023”.

The Business Development and Affiliates General Manager, Jesús Saldaña, was in charge of collecting the award, granted by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the international innovation consultancy Mind the Bridge.

The Corporate Startup Stars Awards, an initiative launched by the European Commission in 2016, highlights leading corporations working with startups using open innovation methodologies. These awards aim to foster collaborations between companies and startups worldwide, through the recognition of the best in their category and the dissemination of their success stories.

Enagás’ presence in this ranking for the fifth consecutive year reflects the company’s commitment to entrepreneurship and innovation practices such as the Ingenia Energy Challenge. An event organised by Enagás that promotes innovation in the energy transition and which is currently open to both Enagás professionals and external parties.
