As part of the Green Gas Mobility Summit, both companies have reinforced the alliance they have maintained since 2022 for the decarbonisation of heavy road transport with hydrogen, as a way to promote sustainable, competitive and quality mobility.

Disfrimur, a transport company from Murcia that manages more than 2,000 vehicles, has been implementing measures for years to decarbonise its fleet operations, which already uses five types of alternative fuels including natural gas and biomethane, and now renewable hydrogen.

Scale Gas will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the transport company’s supply projects. “Through our network of hydrogen plants we will be able to service Disfrimur's entire fleet of heavy transport vehicles powered by renewable hydrogen,” stated Scale Gas.

In 2021 Scale Gas inaugurated the first hydrogen refuelling station in Spain for long-range electric fuel cell vehicles (700 bar/Mpa). The Enagás subsidiary specialises in the management of small and medium-scale infrastructures for the supply of alternative gaseous fuels to sectors that are difficult to electrify, thereby contributing to their decarbonisation.

Enagás actively contributes to the decarbonisation of transport, a sector that is responsible for 25% of Europe's CO2 emissions. In this context, the company is aware of the important role to be played by renewable hydrogen, which will be competitive in all types of mobility: land, air and sea. It is also committed to LNG and bio-LNG as real alternatives to the decarbonisation of heavy transport.
