Enagas attends the 50th Sedigas Annual Meeting

Enagás took part in the Sedigas Annual Conference, which celebrated its 50th edition this year and was held on 30th May in the Auditorium 400 of the Reina Sofía Museum (Madrid). 

Under the theme 'The road to 2050: natural gas and renewable gases for competitiveness and climate neutrality', the event aimed to once again be the reference point for business leaders, professionals and experts in the sector, as well as other influential voices from society, with the aim of achieving an energy future that promotes the achievement of both Spain and Europe's climate goals and the strengthening of economic competitiveness and renewable gases.

The conference was opened by the President of Sedigas, Joan Batalla, and the Director General of the European Commission's Directorate General for Energy, Cristina Lobillo. The CEO of Enagás, Arturo Gonzalo, participated with a key note speech on ‘Infrastructures, solidarity and security of supply’ (11:30 am). 

Enagás representatives also took part in two round tables: 'The planning, operation and integration of the markets: natural gas, hydrogen and electricity',  the General Manager of Enagás GTS (Technical System Manager), María Junco together with representatives of ENTSO-G and ENTSO-E and REE and; in the other roundtable, General Manager of Energy Transition of Enagás and Vice-President of Sedigas Transportistas, Natalia Latorre, tppk part in 'The national context: Natural gas, renewable gases and competitiveness', with the participation of the Vice-President of Sedigas Distribuidores and CEO of Nedgia, Raúl Suárez, and the Vice-President of Sedigas Comercializadores and Gas & Power Southern Europe Senior Manager of BP, María Fernández-Argüelles. Both roundtables were moderated by the Secretary General of Sedigas, Naiara Ortiz. 

Other executives from energy companies, as well as representatives from the CNMC, industry and other energy associations such as IGU, CEOE and Mibgas, also took part in the event. The event was closed by Joan Batalla, President of Sedigas.
