"Green Gas Mobility Summit 2023”, a reference event on sustainable transport in the Iberian Peninsula organized by Gasnam, took place between September 20th and 21th at La Nave, in Madrid.
During the session, experts analyzed the possible solutions to achieve the climate objectives, and also addressed the different energy vectors such as biomethane, synthetic gas or hydrogen in mobility. Enagás, like other companies, had an exhibition space to share information and the sustainable mobility strategy that the company has been promoting for several years.
Enagás CEO, Arturo Gonzalo, participated in one of the opening sessions on the first day, "A hydrogen transport network to boost sustainable mobility", which was moderated by Gasnam's Secretary General, Eugenia Sillero. The Enagás CEO shared the importance of renewable gases in those transport sectors that cannot be electrified and how hydrogen will contribute to fuel diversification and emissions reduction.
Enagás Gas Assets General Manager, Claudio Rodríguez, moderated the round table "Netzero hive, decarbonizing mobility through the circular economy in Spanish ports", with the participation of representatives of Puertos del Estado, Baleària, Scale Gas and Port of Barcelona.
Also taking part in a round table on LNG as a maritime fuel: "Spain, an international benchmark in LNG bunkering", Enagás Commercial Logistics Director, Mary Paz Adán, together with Knutsen OAS Spain General Manager, Álvaro Agosti; Repsol Head of Green Gases & LNG New Uses, Eugenia Bertrand and Peninsula Head of LNG, Alternative Fuels & Sustainability, Nacho de Miguel. This round table was moderated by the Cotenaval Director, José Poblet.
In addition, in the round table "Innovating towards a sustainable future: pioneering projects in the production and distribution of hydrogen" sharing the progress of H2020 Green Hysland, the Enagás Renovable Expert in Public Funding and Subsidies, Víctor Encinas, participated together with representatives of Cidaut and Imdea Energía.
