A Chemical Engineer from the Complutense University of Madrid, she holds a PDD (Executive Development Program) from IESE Business School, has completed the Promociona Project - promoted by the CEOE and ESADE Business School - and a Corporate Entrepreneurship Leadership Programme at Deusto Business School.
Her professional career has been linked to different companies in the energy sector. In 2008, she joined Enagás, where she has held various positions of responsibility, such as Director of Analysis and Development and Director of Operations. In 2024, she was appointed Technical Management of the System General Manager.
María has combined her professional career with teaching at the Carlos III University, at ETSIME in the Polytechnic University of Madrid and at the School of Industrial Organisation. She is also a member of the Spanish Association of Women for Energy (AEMENER), of the association of Executives and Board Members Eje&Con, and is co-founder of the Association Women in Energy Transition.
