A Mechanical Engineer with a specialisation in Machinery, he graduated from the University of Oviedo and later completed the General Management Programme (PDG) at the IESE Business School. He is currently pursuing a PhD on Industrial Technologies at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
He joined Enagás in 1995. He has held various positions of responsibility at Enagás, including Head of Maintenance and Operations at the Barcelona Regasification Terminal, Head of the Cartagena Terminal, and Transmission Manager. In 2012, he was appointed Gas Assets General Manager and he joined the Management Committee.
He is also currently Vice-Chairman of the main associations in the sector: Sedigas, Gasnam and the Spanish Maintenance Association.
