Transparency in the wholesale gas sector has become particularly relevant in recent years. The Commission developed Transparency Guidelines in 2010, applicable as of 3 March 2011. They were amended on two occasions, being the current regulation Commission Decision (EU) 2015/715 of 30 April 2015. These Guidelines establish, among other requirements, the need to make specific information available on the ENTSOG Transparency Platform.
On 8 December 2011, Regulation 1227/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
One of the requirements established in the Regulation is the obligation to publish inside information on transmission infrastructure, LNG Terminals and underground storage facilities through Urgent Market Messages (UMMs). You can consult the UMMs published by Enagás below.
